The solid tire rim and the corresponding pneumatic tire rim can be used interchangeably. However, the loading and unloading of solid tires and rims requires the use of auxiliary tools (tooling) on the press. To ensure the safety and accuracy of the installation process, Shanghai Decadura recommends that customers follow the following rules:
1. Inspection of tires and rims
First check the fit between the tire and the rim, that is, whether the tire size to be installed is the same as the rim model. The width of the rim used by the tires of the same specification is different, so you must first confirm it when installing. The inspection of the rim includes whether the rim has defects and whether there are burrs. If there are burrs, polish them first, otherwise they will damage the inside of the tire hub, which will affect installation and use.
2. In order to ensure that the tire can be installed in place smoothly and reduce the friction with the rim, during installation, the inner surface of the tire hub and the outer surface of the rim need to be sprayed or coated with lubricant. The lubricant can be commonly used soapy water, washing powder water, etc. If possible, special lubricants for tires can be used, but oils and other common industrial lubricants must not be used, because they will swell rubber and damage tires.
3. When the tire is placed on the rim, the head should be flat and should not be skewed. Otherwise, it will be difficult to install, and it will swing from side to side during use. The rim must be installed in place and the bolts must be tightened, otherwise the slip ring or tire rim separation may cause danger.
